Hot Rails - What are they?
Is it a single coil? Is it a humbucker? No, it’s a ‘hot rails’ which allegedly gives you humbucker tones (no 60 cycle hum either) in a single coil sized body. A popular swap out for the Telecaster bridge pickup, in fact that’s my next mod on one of my Tele’s, the Red Sparkly in fact, with gold blades to match the rest of the hardware.
